FjordSauna Flåm

Since 2021, FjordSauna Flåm has offered locals and travelers a unique way to unwind — surrounded by the calm waters of the Aurlandsfjord and dramatic mountains. With two floating saunas docked just steps from the Flåm town center, this year-round experience invites you to relax, recharge, and embrace the elements.

Designed for comfort, floating in nature.
- Two beautifully crafted floating saunas, each accommodating up to 12 people.
- Electric heaters with the option to add fresh water for steam
- Large windows offering panoramic fjord and mountain views
- Changing room with a private stall in each sauna
- Easy fjord access via interior hatch, ladders, or jumps from the deck or rooftop
- Outdoor shower available during summer months (proper showers available within short walking distance for a fee, also only during summer).
From arrival to deep relaxation
You'll be welcomed by our Sauna Master and shown into the changing room. After changing into swimwear and storing your things, you’re free to enjoy the outdoor shower (summer only) or go straight for a fjord dip before entering the sauna (optional).
Every guest receives a small disposable towel to sit on inside the sauna. This is not suitable for drying off, so we recommend bringing a larger towel — or you can rent one from us upon arrival.
We encourage switching between hot and cold — the steamy sauna followed by a refreshing plunge is the classic Nordic way to feel truly revived.
Right on the water in Flåm harbor
FjordSauna Flåm is located at Piers 10 and 11, just a few minutes' flat walk from the town center. Set in a quieter corner of the harbor, the saunas offer a peaceful atmosphere with unbeatable views of the surrounding landscape.
Simply follow signs from the harbor along the wooden dock - walking towards Flåm Marina & Apartments.

Parking: Public parking is available in Flåm town center for a fee. Please note that there is no parking directly at the sauna — the nearby lot is reserved for guests of Flåm Marina. Kindly avoid parking there.

Shared Sauna Experiences

Our shared sauna experiences offer a social and relaxing way to enjoy the sauna while meeting new people. Each guest books their own spot, making it ideal for individuals or friends. Choose between classic shared sauna, shared aufguss ritual or silent sauna.

Relax and unwind in a 90-minute shared sauna session, enjoying the heat, fjord views, and friendly social atmosphere.
Available on both locations every day when we`re open.
Unwind in a 60-minute guided evening sauna ritual with two aufguss rounds, fjord dips, and a small group of only 8 guests.
Available in Flåm only. Daily at 21:30-22:30 between June 1st and August 31st.
Experience a 90-minute guided sauna ritual with our Sauna Master, two aufguss rounds, fjord dips, and body scrub.
September-May. Available on selected dates in both Aurland and Flåm.
